Overview
The Carina Iron Ore Facility includes both mine and stockyard facilities, before delivering the processed ore to the Fremantle Port for shipping. SG Controls were recently engaged to provide design, installation and commissioning services for the electrical and control systems on the new stackers, reclaimers, screen house and crusher.

- Commenced operation in September 2011 with first delivery to port early November
- Carina deposit contains an estimate 21.4 million tonnes of iron ore
- Pit to Port Nature
- Single Open Pit of approx. 40ha in area
- Ore is mined from an open pit, crushed, screened and transport by rail to the Port of Fremantle for export

- Carina currently delivers 4.4MTPA of Iron Ore
- Site comprises of primary crushing along with fines and lump product stacking & reclaiming

- Upgrade equipment from Dalian Joyum Heavy Industries (China) to comply with Australian Standards
- Automation, electrical and instrumentation installation and commissioning of all MV and LV systems, rail loading, ore conveying, two stackers and a reclaimer
- Controls design, install and commission

- Quality assurance inclusive of all testing and verifications
- Interfaces to existing plant & equipment
